Silent Disco for Your Wedding
Wireless headphones, up to three music channels, and a dance floor that keeps going long after a venues sound curfew kicks in. Silent disco is one of the most popular add-ons I offer for wedding evenings, and it solves two problems couples run into again and again: mixed music tastes among guests, and venues that cut the sound system off at 11pm or midnight.
How It Works on Your Wedding Day
Guests wear coloured wireless headsets instead of listening through speakers, with up to three DJ channels running at once so everyone can switch between them and find their music. I run it either as a full evening format, a late-night extension once the main disco or ceilidh has to wrap up, or as a second room running alongside the main event so both crowds get what they want. Every booking includes the headsets, full DJ coverage across each channel, and lighting.
Why Couples Book It
- Sound curfews — many hotels and historic venues cut live sound by 11pm or midnight; the party keeps going in headsets with zero noise complaints
- Mixed music tastes — different generations and friend groups get their own channel instead of compromising on one playlist all night
- A genuine talking point — guests remember a silent disco long after the wedding, and the photos of a room full of coloured headsets are always a hit
- Combines well with a ceilidh or a traditional evening disco — start conventionally, then move to silent disco for the late-night stretch
Frequently Asked Questions
Can silent disco run alongside a curfew?
Yes — this is one of the main reasons couples book it. Once the venues sound system has to go off, the party carries on in headsets with no noise leaving the room.
Can we combine it with a ceilidh or a normal wedding disco?
Absolutely, and its a popular combination. Most couples run a ceilidh or standard disco for the main evening, then switch to silent disco for a late-night extension.
How many headsets do you provide?
Enough for your full guest count, from intimate weddings up to several hundred guests. Let me know your numbers and I will confirm availability and pricing.
I also offer silent disco for non-wedding events through Premier Disco, my sister company covering corporate and general events across Scotland.
