Not many wedding venues come with their own coronation history, and that’s part of what makes Scone Palace such an unusual one to work at as a DJ. Scone Palace is one of Scotland’s most historically significant and architecturally magnificent wedding venues. It was the site of the coronation of Scottish kings, including Macbeth and Robert the Bruce, for over a thousand years, and home to the legendary Stone of Destiny. Scone sits on the banks of the River Tay just outside Perth.
Today Scone Palace is the family home of the Earl of Mansfield and one of Scotland’s finest exclusive event venues. I’ve had the privilege of performing at Scone Palace. Together, the State Rooms, the Ballroom, and the parkland combine to create a wedding experience that is genuinely unmatched.

The State Rooms at Scone Palace are filled with treasures accumulated over centuries — fine furniture, paintings, and decorative arts that create an atmosphere of authentic grandeur that money alone cannot buy. The Ballroom, meanwhile, provides a magnificent space for evening receptions. Because the famous pinetum is planted with trees from around the world, it provides extraordinary photography settings at any time of year.

My approach starts long before the wedding day, with a proper planning conversation to understand your vision, your guests, and the moments that matter most. For example, you’ll have access to my online music planning portal, where you can submit must-plays, your first dance choice, and do-not-plays at any time. On the day itself, I arrive early, liaise with the venue team, and set up discreetly. However, I don’t play pre-programmed sets or fixed playlists. Instead, I build your night live, using your music suggestions as the foundation and reading the dancefloor moment to moment to keep the energy exactly right.
